Instructions on Applying

The applying to the flats works on a continuous basis. You can submit the application electronically in Finnish (click here), send it by mail, or bring it to the customer service in person.

Anyone can apply for a flat. If the applicant is a minor, the application needs to be signed by his/her care giver.

The application is valid for six (6) months at a time. If there are changes in your personal information, please report them to us but do not submit another application. You can renew your application and report possible personal information changes through feedback of our website, by e-mail, phone, or in person.

You need to deliver certain additional documents (see ”Application form”) along with the application before being taken into consideration in the process of tenant selection. We will not process applications with inadequate information.

The process of tenant selection is carried out as defined in the Act on the Use, Assignment and Redemption of State-Subsidized (ARAVA) Rental Dwellings and Buildings (1190/93), Act on Interest Subsidy for Rental Housing Loans and Right of Occupancy Housing Loans (604/2001), and the Government Decree on the Selection of Tenants for State-Subsidised (ARAVA) and Interest-Subsidy Rental Dwellings (166/2008).
