Joensuun Elli and Joensuun Kodit will merge on 1st September 2025
Joensuun Kodit Oy and Student Housing Company Joensuun Elli will merge into a single company starting on 1st September 2025. The new company will be called Joensuun Ellin Kodit Oy, and the CEO will continue to be Jarmo Ojalainen, the current CEO of Joensuun Elli.
What does this mean for residents?
The merger requires no action from residents and will not affect your tenancy.
- The target groups remain the same: Joensuun Elli will continue to rent apartments to students, and Joensuun Kodit will continue serving other residents of Joensuu.
- Websites, phone numbers, office address, bank account numbers, and reference numbers will remain the same.
- Email addresses will change on 1st September 2025, but the old addresses will remain active until the end of August.
Rent Payments and Invoices
Please continue to use the same bank accounts for rent payments:
- Joensuun Kodit tenants: FI58 5770 0510 0234 40 (Osuuspankki)
- Joensuun Elli tenants: FI09 5770 0520 6543 58 (Osuuspankki)
Please note that if you use direct debit or e-invoicing, September rent invoices will be sent later than usual, at the beginning of September.
